Daniël van Gurp
Hi I am Daniël, an audio visual artist, music producer, DJ, part of WACHT, SWEDED and de natuur.
I am located in Amersfoort & Utrecht, The Netherlands.
My art explores themes such as nature, materialism, architecture, social issues, and the strange, perfect, and absurd aspects of everyday life. I always aim to spark reflection through my work. Sometimes this is visible in a more absurd way, while other times it feels more urgent, depending on how I want the audience to receive the subject matter. These themes allow me to experiment with different forms of art, such as film, music, sound design, photography, and djing. :)
I studied Audio Visual Media at the ROC van Amsterdam. Then worked in the film industry for a while mostly with New Amsterdam Film Company, all while working on my own music, art and events. Right now, I'm in my final year of Audio Visual Media at the University of Arts in Utrecht. I keep myself busy with organising events in Utrecht/Amersfoort. Working on my own music and arts and collaberating on all of these.
